LavaLock® 31 x 16 Baffle Plate Horizontal BBQ Smoker (Tuning System)

To help determine if this baffle will fit your smoker:



STEP 1: Please look for a baffle that is approximately 2 inches narrower than your barrel (for example, if your cook chamber is 18" deep, front to back, you should start by looking for a 16" wide baffle).



STEP 2: Make a cardboard template:

1) Cut a piece of cardboard 15.75" wide & approx. 34" long.

2) Score two creases in the cardboard. The first one should be at 2-1/4"". The second one should be aprrox 7" from the same end.

3) Bend the second crease to approx 45 degree angle. Bend the first crease to a vertical position (should emulate our baffle angles in the picture)

Note: Completed template height should be about 5.5". Overall length 31, width 16.

4)The vertical flange should sit flush with the top of the fire box opening.

The plate will sit about 3.5" below the fire box opening.

If the cardboard sits where you want it, without touching anything like the grill, lid, or any other obstructions, then this plate will very likely fit.
