Our Custom Tuning Plates for Horizontal Smokers simply rock!
This plate is 17.5" wide x 14.5" long, includes side triangle ears (for better draft control).
Laser cut and computer designed with air flow rate calculations.
These plates will result in PERFECT side to side balanced cook chamber temps.
Allows for precise temperature control, perfect cooks and reduced fuel consumption.
An excellent mod! Easy installation with just a couple of bolts. Get them while they are hot.
Installtion Notes
To help determine if this baffle will fit your smoker:
STEP 1: Please look for a baffle that is approximately 2 inches narrower than your barrel (for example, if your cook chamber is 18" deep, front to back, you should start by looking for a 16" wide baffle).
STEP 2: Make a cardboard template:
1) Cut a piece of cardboard 17.5" wide & approx. 18" long.
2) Score two creases in the cardboard. The first one should be at 2-1/8". The second one should be approx 7" from the same end.
3) Bend the second crease to approx 45 degree angle. Bend the first crease to a vertical position (should emulate our baffle angles in the picture)
Note: Completed template height should be about 5.5". Overall length 14.5, width 17.5.
4)The vertical flange should sit flush with the top of the fire box opening.
The plate will sit about 3.5" below the fire box opening.
If the cardboard sits where you want it, without touching anything like the grill, lid, or any other obstructions, then this plate will very likely fit.
Non-returnable after use or modification.
